I recently got a second-hand Deep Blue Sea Chrono, and when splitting the strap at the clasp found the one of the spring bars was broken such that the pin was not held in the spring tube, but would fall out.
It was possible to reassemble this, but I don't like that the spring bar is compromised.
The problem is that it is the slightly different spring bar which is used to also hold the security catch closed. It seems to be a wider bar and have more rounded pins that standard spring bars. Because of this I don't have a suitable spare to use.
I have noticed this on other watches where the spring bar used to hole the end of the tri-fold clasp that also then holds the security catch closed is a different type.
What is this type of spring bar called and where do I get replacements?
(Just to clarify, this is not the pivot pin of the security catch itself, but the one that acts as the detent holding the security catch closed.)
