Hi, as per thread title I have a GW-M5610BC-1ER which I bought in 2015 and have had in occasional circulation with a bunch of other watches, spending the rest of its time in a display box with a clear plastic lid on a windowsill. So I don't see that I can have any issues with the solar cell not receiving enough charge.
This week I went to put it on and noticed that the time and date was wrong (as if the watch had reset itself and not been able to get a radio signal to sync it - the date has returned to 1st Jan). On trying to get a radio signal to sync, the screen went blank completely.
What is likely to have happened to it - has the solar cell died? And if so, is this easy to replace or am I better off sending it back for a warranty repair? I don't mind swapping it out myself if it's easy enough, and cheaper than the cost of posting it off to Casio!
Thanks
