Hi all! Great to be here, new to the forum. Have been a WIS for about 3 years now. I am in my mid 20's and live in the USA. Would like to share my collection and hear what others have to say! My first timepiece was a Tag Heuer Aquaracer reference CAF101E, I was not into watches at the time and just wanted something on a stainless band that would go well with most outfits. I know it's quartz, but I have always thought it looked nice and to this day I still enjoy wearing it as it is the watch that got me into watches. My next thought was to get a Rolex. I was able to get a good deal on a 1995 dateless Submariner about a year later which fit my smallish wrist incredibly well and has been equally as versatile as the Tag. This watch gravitated me towards NATO straps as essentially any will look nice paired with the clean look of a dateless Submariner. Currently, it is mainly my weekend/fun watch I wear with all sorts of straps. About a year after that, I decided to step it up and go for something a little higher end. The AP Royal Oak had always caught my eye due to its vast history, importance, as well as its unique shape and look. I obtained a 2010 model which I love, but will say it is my least worn watch by far. I kind of just keep it locked up and wear it on nice occasions or to nicer venues, it is my go to dress watch. Finally, I recently decided to purchase a Mark XVIII Pilot's watch from IWC. I have been a huge fan of the uniqueness and understated beauty of IWC since I have been into watches and felt like this was the perfect choice. I was looking for something to be worn solely on a black leather strap as that was the only watch I felt was missing from my collection. The Mark XVIII fit that criteria, and with its new, clean dial and historical impact of the Mark series, as well as my love for IWC I knew it was time to go for it. This watch has become my daily wearer and I will continue loving it for years to come. I've known for years I was bit hard by the watch bug and am sure that I'll one day make another purchase, but for now I am content with my collection. I feel as though I have watches for every strap time, every occasion, and from a wide array of manufacturers. I would LOVE to hear what others think and to meet other WIS and cool people on this forum. I'm always up to talk about watches and always always open to learning more! Once again, great to be here!!!
