Hello everyone!
I need a favor guys and gals. I have been hunting a Tudor 79190 with blue dial and brushed, silver bezel for a while now. I finally found one on eBay and I engaged with the seller. We went back and forth trying to negotiate and landed on a number. All I have to do is accept the offer and I'll get my precious! But again, I want to ensure that this is real given that this is a lot of $$.
I asked about papers and/or box, and the seller tells me that there are none, but swears that it is legit. The seller has 100% rating and it seems that he sells a lot of watches. He/she is established in Jordan and tells me that he bought the item in Egypt.
Btw - while my intention is to NOT sell the watch, is it reasonable to expect that this would have a lower resale value given the lack of papers (and box)?
There is a 14 days return policy, which is good because it would give me time to check the authenticity of the piece. But...how can I do that? From what I read I could go to an AD and pay a fee and they could check it. I live somewhat close to NYC and I know they have a RSC over there, but from what I understand it might take some time to get me in line to check.
Btw, please see below for the link/pics. Not the greatest pictures, I'm afraid, but as far as I can tell it looks okay - this if course based on the very few comparisons I was able to find online.
Tudor Prince Oysterdate Submariner Watch by Rolex 79190 New Old Stock | eBay
Btw - I posted the same message on 'rolex forums - watch out'. Hoping I can get a response.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
