I'm finding that the clasp on my 1991 Explorer II (16570) occasionally comes undone at very inopportune times, and I'm concerned. So I've decided I want to switch to a clasp with a flip lock feature.
I see one on eBay for $25 that claims to be in 316L steel and seems intriguing, but there are no reviews. I'm curious if anyone has tried them or any other generic flip lock clasp for their Rolex. I would rather not switch to a strap, as I love the look of the oyster bracelet--but I also don't want to attach any failure-prone, subpar hardware to my investment.
Please chime in with any suggestions. I'd rather not pay upwards of $400 for a Rolex clasp if there is anything comparable in quality and reliability.
