Watch factory

"PETROZAVODSKY CHASOVOI ZAVOD" JOINT-STOCK Co. Starting as a small stone processing shop (1721) this oldest enterprise in Russia has travelled along the road of brilliant success turning into a major company which manufactures wrist watches, pocket watches and "Raketa" alarm clOGks. The history of the "PETROZAVODSKY CHASOVOI ZAVOD" Joint-Stock Co. is intimately linked with the development of the Russian culture and the skilled craftsmen of our company have always tried to uphold the fame of the Russian expertise in this field. The "PCZ" Joint-Stock Co. was the first enterprise in this country to abandon the practice of watch assembly by one watch maker and to divide the assembling operations to suit the assembly line requirements. Our company was also the first to abandon the assembly line practice later on. In 1977 the last watch assembly line was dismantled. The rows of automatic machines replaced the assembly lines and for the first time in the watch-making history of this country the machines assembled the watch mechanisms. These robots freed watch makers for more creative work. The factory manufactures the large assortment of "Raketa" watches: calendar watches, watches for people working under the extremal conditions, watches for blind people and so on. Antimagnetic, watertight, placed inside the chromium plated and gold plated cases and in the cases with a new black chromium coating possessing the anticorrosive properties, the gentleman pocket and wrist watches "Raketa!' meet the highest engineering and artistic standards. The workshop and design department staff carry out the painstaking work aimed at creation of new and improvement of exsisting designs. All the World wears the "Raketa" watches! We hope that you will like our watches!
