Fascinating Article on Whether Time is a Physical Property or a Man Made Construct

There is a fascinating article on the Quanta website as to whether time is a physical property or whether it is a man made concept:

60 deep thinkers (physicists, other scientists and philosophers) met at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics to debate the issue. Just about the only thing they could agree on is that time moves only in one direction, that's why a shattered cup doesn't reassemble itself. If time is just a man made concept, what compelled man to do it, other than Switzerland's desire to create a watch industry? :-d
