I have a SKX013, which is perfect for a daily dive watch for my smaller wrist. However, I find that I either don't move my wrist enough throughout the day, or the movement must be gummy, because I take it off for a day and a half and it stops moving by the time I pick it up the following AM.
Is that normal? I was thinking of getting it cleaned, or as an alternative, just upgrading the movement to one that hand-winds so that I can power it up easily before taking it off.
Can the movement be upgraded? What are the options? Anyone done this? (I've done some basic tinkering on Vostoks.)

On a related note, I have an old Invitca automatic that I use a pure beater watch - working outside, or in high grit/scratch environments. I bought it to play with, and did so - painting the dial yellow, sanding the "invicta" off the side, etc. But then I went for the Seiko and relegated the Invite to beater status. Now the Invitca's crystal is scratched (which I expected and which was the point). Yet, I sort of regret doing that. While I love and vastly prefer the lume/aesthetics on the Seiko diver, I can grab the Invitca, fix the date, wind it up and go. I feel like I need to do a shake-fest/dance with the Seiko. I don't think the movements are comparable - just mentioning it because the difference between the functionality of the two are vastly different just based on the simple winding issue.
