Birth year watch

Hi Guys,

I've been lurking for some time now. Almost bought 3 affordables (Sarb, SKX and Orient Star GMT).

In the end I figured that with my current collection, I would just be adding less wrist time to watches I appreciate for their emotional heritage despite their low economical value.

I therefore decided that I'll "invest"(...) in a more expensive timepiece. The question is, which one.

I'm actually torn between the idea of going vintage and getting a watch from my mothers(1953) or my own birth year(1992) or buying a new one.

My question being : What watches should I look at from 1953 and 1992 ?

I would be comfortable spending 3.500,00€ but could stretch it to 5.250,00€ if the watch really speaks to me.

I guess I could spent my hard earned money on more important matters but this makes me happy at the time being and I'll buy it in the hope it will still carry a big emotional background in several years.

I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your responses !
