Hi Guys, long time reader, first time poster.
Just hoping to get some advice from the community regarding my much loved tissot chono. I recently dropped my watch resulting in the number battons falling off. i have attached a photo (as you can see the missing buttons floating near where the 9 o'clock batton should be).
anyway i got my watch sent away to the swatch group in Melbourne who quoted me approx $390 which i think is ridiculous as it does not seem like a big fix and the watch itself cost $600. furthermore I have only had this watch for 5 months and it dropping was a result of the manufacturers band breaking. :(
what do you guys think should be my next move? should i suck up the $390 repair quote, get alternative quotes from non-tissot repairers or could i buy a watchmaking toolkit myself and try re-attach the buttons myself?
thanks in advance!
