Opening Electro-Chron Back

I want to open the back of this Waltham:

Name: Waltham Electro-Chron_2.jpg
Views: 8
Size: 205.6 KB

It's 14-sided, with a face-to-face distance of 30.85mm.

I searched this subform and found this thread from a year ago:

A 3-sided jaxa wrench won't line up well to the 14 sides.

I don't want to try the superglue and nut method due to the presence of the battery hatch.

The ScrewBall opener might have difficulty considering it's been a while since this one's been opened. Also, it would need to get enough purchase on the area around the battery hatch.

I have an actual adjustable wrench, but that seems like overkill.

Any options I'm not seeing? (Aside from send it to Jarrett and let him figure it out.) I'd like to assess the condition of the movement before I go forward with restoration plans.

Thank you for your time.
