What's the best way to store watches for long-term and to protect them from moisture?

Let's assume, I have to go to a foreign country for a year, my watches will be in my cupboard. The doors of the cupboard will be closed. There is a monsoon period of 2 months in a year. Those 2 months, there'll be moisture in the cupboard.
Should I keep each one of my watches in a ziplock bag with a silica get pouch in each of the bags?
Or any other method? Please help!
