Eterna-Matic 1973 Super Kon-Tiki Re-issue. Chronometer. $1800

After some deliberation I'm putting up my Eterna-Matic 1973 Kon-Tiki re-issue. These originally cost $3500 when they were released and at the time I heard of them selling up to $5000 for desperate buyers.

This is NOT to be confused with the Festina-group Eterna Super Kon-Tiki re-issue, this is pre-Chinese buyout of the company and has a chronometer-grade ETA 2824 with blued screws and fittings as well as sapphire crystal and the same seatbelt-style sharkmesh that the Omega Proplof came with, rather than the adjustable mesh and the SW 200 movement of the new one. It is fully Swiss made.

This was my grail watch at the time and I'm still somewhat in two minds about selling it. When these came out at Baselworld they were snapped up almost instantly so very few are floating around.

It is in exceptional shape, some light desk diving marks on the caseback and on the buckle of the bracelet but case and crystal are almost perfect.

I might think about trading for a MM300 or Emperor/Darth Tuna or an Aquadive plus cash, maybe a Vintage VDB but not much else, definitely not interested in Tudors or Omegas for trade.

It also comes with an Eterna leather strap that I've never used which cost $125

Cheers
