Eterna Eterna-Matic Centenaire Help

I bought this Centenaire on Ebay when I first started getting into watches. The Centenaire line came out in 1956 to help commemorate the 100th year of the founding of Eterna. I've had it overhauled and it runs well. It has a really cool date change feature where you pull the crown all the way out to advance to the next day. It also has a recessed crown so you only see the watch itself.

In all the Centenaires I've ever seen, I have only seen one other one with the fancy flourish at the end of the "e" in Centenaire.

So I have two questions:

1) Do you think this is actually from 1956? (They did make Centenaires for many years including a Centenaire '61)
The serial number starts with "439" and is 7 digits long.

2) Do you think I should have the dial redone?

Thanks for any help.
